Arun Ramachandran

Arun is a Chartered Accountant from India and an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from SP Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai with over 20+ years of experience in corporate finance advisory, market entry strategy; financial management, corporate structuring/restructuring, and cross-border transactions.

Arun has engaged in leadership and executive management roles on a consulting basis in various corporations in India and Singapore. The most recent role was that of a Group CFO of Eastern, a diversified large business group based in India with interests in Spices, Tea, Food Products, Mattresses, Treads, and Real Estate. 

Prior to the association with Eastern, Arun founded Red Dot Advisors, a Singapore/Bangalore-based consulting and advisory firm specializing in mid-market cross-border transactions, M&As, JVs, and Strategic Alliances in the Indian, South East Asian, and Australian markets. Over the past 14 years, Arun has advised and structured numerous mid-market transactions in India, South East Asia, and Australia across various sectors including Mining, Healthcare, IT Services, Financial Services, and Telecom. The financial advisory experience spans access to venture capital funds, private equity funds, structured financing lenders, banks & sovereign funds in India and South East Asia. Arun also has strong, longstanding experience and relationships with government-linked organizations in India, South Asia, and South East Asia.

Arun’s early employment stints were as the Director-Finance & Administration with the offshore subsidiary of First Consulting Group, a NASDAQ listed healthcare solutions & software services Company, and previously with Deloitte, India’s audit practice.

Apart from his professional background, Arun devotes a significant amount of time to guiding technology and consumer start-ups founders in India. Arun is a family man, a keen pre-Covid 19 traveler, and an avid music collector.
